1. Introduction

Collect (the “App”) helps you save and organize links, text, and images. We care about your privacy. This policy explains what data we process and how.

By using the App, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect and Process

2.1 Data stored on your device (default)

Your personal saves are stored primarily on your device:

• Saved links, text, and images
• Tags and folder information
• Archived items
• App preferences (language, appearance, sort order, etc.)
• Cryptographic hashes of folder/archive passwords (passwords are not stored in plain text)

This data is not uploaded to our personal-save servers.

2.2 Share Extension (iOS)

When you save from the Share menu, content is passed to the main app via an App Group on your device. This transfer stays on-device.

2.3 Shared lists (optional)

If you use shared lists:

• An anonymous user ID (Firebase Authentication)
• List name, invite code, membership
• Content you share to the list (links, text, image metadata)

is stored and synced via cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase / Firestore).

This feature is optional. If you do not use it, no personal save data is sent to the cloud.

2.4 Advertising data

The App shows Google AdMob ads. AdMob may process device identifiers, IP address, and usage data under its own policy.

2.5 App configuration and updates

Version and update information may be read from Firebase Firestore for optional or required update prompts.

2.6 Support contact

If you email us, we process the information in your message only to provide support.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share data with service providers only to operate the App:

• Google Firebase (shared lists, configuration)
• Google AdMob (ads)
• Apple / Google (app store distribution)

When you join a shared list, list content is visible to other members of that list.

5. Retention

• On-device data: Until you delete items or uninstall the App.
• Shared lists: Until you delete the list, leave it, or request deletion.
• Support emails: Kept for a reasonable period, then deleted.

6. Security

Passwords are stored as hashes. On-device data is protected by the operating system. Cloud traffic uses TLS. No system is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to processing, or request portability.

To remove shared-list data, delete the list or leave it. To remove on-device data, delete items in the App or uninstall it.

8. Children’s Privacy

Collect is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Shared lists and Firebase services may process data on servers outside your country. By using those features, you acknowledge this transfer.

We may update this policy. Material changes may be announced in the App or on our website. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
